World hunger is on the rise and the number is growing. With conflict and climate change exacerbating food insecurity and crises around the world, many believe that technology is the key to end world hunger. With progress seen in biotechnology, gene engineering and drone technology. Can world hunger end with the use of technology?

In the past decade or so technological innovations have promoted global food security. From Agriculture to supply chain, technology is helping reduce the problem of hunger. Technology has also enabled to boost agricultural production, has also played an instrumental role in lowering production costs and making access to markets easier for smallholder farmers in providing easy access to credit and information. But with all the increase in technological developments, a large percentage of people in the world are still hungry.
